Museum of Science

Anyone interested in going to Museum of Science in the upcoming future? We are members, and would be able to take a limited number of people for free. Events that have perked my interest are the National Chemistry Week Kick-off even Sat Oct 18th (1-5) and the Mythic Creatures: Dragons, Unicorns & Mermaids exhibit (opening Oct 25).

Peek-a-boo! I can get freebie admission from work, too, with some guest privileges. Always fun with friends, especially fellow geeksters! :)

I know it is late to be getting freebie admission to go with work, but would be interested in going this weekend? At some other point? Let me know.

*grumblepout* I saw this too late and was actually out of sorts last weekend due to a cold (pretty much over that now). Did anyone end up going? Either way, let's please try again. I think I can get the passes any time without necessarily a date-specific requirement, so that should make short-notice scheduling more convenient.

*GEEKHUGS* :)

We ended up going with some friends of Tab's but given the amount of interest, I plan on making another trip soon.

Excellent! I finally checked out the details and the upside is that I don't have to do anything to get passes. I can just show up, present my company ID, and bring a guest; no advance planning or reservations or anything. Evidently, my employee status automatically makes me a Museum member (at least until May, 2009).

The only disappointment is that it looks like I would have been privileged to attend a special corporate sneak preview of the Mythic Creatures exhibit (Friday night before it opened), but that one WOULD have required advance registration (free, but first-come basis). Now I'll have to be on the lookout for other special goodies like that!
