ragingamazon's night out

omlyFriday Roger thought like it seemed like I needed some grownup time after being stuck with the kids the other day (Tab and her friend). I need to learn to say no to that family entirely; I always end up feeling shafted. With him watching Tab for me I was free to go celebrate ragingamazon's 21st!
Dinner at the Cambridge Beer Company was good. I think I ordered the same thing the last time I was there. I need to branch out since it isn't even my favorite thing (just fish and chips). The conversation was better than the food though. I only knewragingamazon, thanos73, sunspiral and beowabbit to any degree previously. I also met some other really nice people, the only one I have an lj handle for is clearmind.
Then a subset of the group moved to Finale, where I quite unexpectedly saw an old friend from highschool working. Dessert was definatley better than dinner, but with Finale that is often the case. I ended up getting "just" some peach sorbet and a glass of sparkling dessert wine which I think Roger would have really liked.
All and all quite a pleasurable evening. I am really glad I got the chance to celebrate a friend's birthday and have a night out.
