End of the Chinese/Lunar Year
Feb. 8th, 2005 08:54 amThis weekend we had the Roger's company "holiday" party. The had rented out the entire blue wing of the Museum of Science for it. It was a lot of fun. There was even a fairly significant number of kids and of all ages for Tab to play with. I am not sure why that surprised me so much other than the average age of the company seems so young.
Actually I believe it was officially called the "end of the year" party to be more politically correct. I teased Roger that it indeed was right in time... for Lunar New Year. It may seem really strange, not being of asian descent, but I always get a lot more excited about lunar new year than about midnight January 1. I am ridiculously excited about Lunar New Year tomorrow. Roger and I went shopping last night. In case anyone cares, Supper88 will be closed tomorrow. We started tea eggs and rice for fried rice. I am still contemplating the fine details of the rest of the dinner.
The only slight hang up to my new year plans is that it falls on Ash Wednesday. There is only one person in the house who might even care, but still I prefer to at least try to consider it. Well I guess I will just have to choose the menu carefully.
