Jun. 20th, 2007 11:09 amTab really liked this soup that I made from our CSA swiss chard this week. Minor changes included:
no onion - I didn't have any in the house that weren't growing
carrots weren't peeled - why waste the goodness?
no diced tomatos - didn't feel like it
lentils swapped out for twice as much dried navy beans - because that is what I had
no dill - because I am not a fan
added pureed collard greens - because I can, and it was good!
chopped cooked bratwurst - we had some leftover from dinner the other night
Okay so it was only a cousin once removed from the soup recipe linked, but it is tasty and nutritious. And I am amused to note that Tab says she does not like collards, swiss chard, or sausage of any kind. She says this soup is excellent though.
