Hamantaschen!
So I realized today, that although I had thought about it I hadn't actually posted. (I do that a lot.) This weekend
chaiya and I made hamantaschen. The dough was from this recipe, though the inspired marzipan-like filling made with cranberry applesauce, freshly ground almonds, and and honey was all
chaiya. We also did a few with some strawberry jam
salvbard and I made in June 2006, but those were a lot less interesting, though technically fine. I am really glad we went with a dairy dough; I don't think a parve dough would have been quite as tasty.*
Also I am glad to say that
chaiya did narrowly avoid killing
palmiz in what could have been a tragic hamantaschen-related bicycling accident, which I am sure
crazybone was glad of since he was driving at the time.
