Yay Birds!

So 2 weeks ago, [livejournal.com profile] cintyber brought home one of those bird feeders with suction cups that clings to the outside of a window. We had been talking about it for a while, and she happened to spot one while she was out. Well this weekend we started getting birds! Almost entirely house finches so far, there are several distinct pairs who are visiting regularly, with very different personalities. Seriously, this makes sitting on the couch even more entertaining than previously. (The window with the feeder is directly behind one part of the L-shaped couch.)

We have a bird feeder in our backyard. It's entertaining to watch the bird politics.

Our next door neighbor has a large bird feeder. This is occasional entertainment for the humans, and endless entertainment for the felines. Along with the usual suspects, we have regular visits from a few blue jays and at least one pair of cardinals.

We also have a peregrine falcon that nests in the woods behind our house.
