CSA Week 4 & 5

Week 4:
2 bunches broccoli
2 bunches arugula
2 bunches of radishes
2 bunches pak choi
2 bunches of golden beets
2 bunches of collards
2 bunches parsley
2 bunches of orange carrots
2 pints of strawberries
2 pints sugar snap peas

Week 5:
2 bunches chioggia beets
2 bunches purple kohlrabi
2 bunches raab
2 bunches basil
2 heads of cauliflower
2 bunches red russian kale
2 bunches yellow carrots
2 bunches fennel
2 pounds squash

So hot... yet we are still cooking in an effort to use up the produce in the fridge. I roasted a bunch of beets, carrots, kohlrabi and squash to have left over roasted veggies for later use. Today I made a strawberry rhubarb pie that cooked while I prepped veggies, blanched and froze them. Ok, I need another cup of mint-lemonade from this morning, and then back to work.

Can I have an arugula, and a raab?

Actually carrots were originally white. They have been bred to be orange. They also come in yellow, red and purple. We get orange carrots about half the time from farm share and yellow the rest of the time.
