It has been a lazy day. I spent a bunch of time sitting outside my grandmother's house listening to the sounds of the surf and knitting in the sun (granted with a hat and lots of sunscreen). I have also spent a lot of time this weekend talking to my sister and my mom: about health fears, the funny things we say, our hopes and plans, the family. It has actually been really nice, and I am not excited about the idea of going back to regular grad life tomorrow.
