Baby Ideas

omlyI just got a baby shower invitation in the mail. It is time to think about weither I plan on knitting anything other than baby socks (which are a given; *love* baby socks). The shower is in October, so this should be a winter baby
Ideas so far:
Blarg. I am not feeling creative. I am excited by the excuse to knit baby stuff though.
Ideas so far:
- Cargo pants - cute, useful, non-gendered
- Lil' Devil Pants from SNB - adorable, non-gendered
- DNA soft toy - cute & geeky, but proabably not appreciated enough by this mom
- hat & mittens - scarves are generally not baby safe
- blanket is right out
