Baby Ideas

I just got a baby shower invitation in the mail. It is time to think about weither I plan on knitting anything other than baby socks (which are a given; *love* baby socks). The shower is in October, so this should be a winter baby

Ideas so far:

• Cargo pants - cute, useful, non-gendered
  
• Lil' Devil Pants from SNB - adorable, non-gendered
  
• DNA soft toy - cute & geeky, but proabably not appreciated enough by this mom
  
• hat & mittens - scarves are generally not baby safe
  
• blanket is right out

Blarg. I am not feeling creative. I am excited by the excuse to knit baby stuff though.

Man. The DNA toy is something I'd like to have for myself, let alone have around for a kid somewhere down the line. *L* It's cute.
