Yarn shortages and sheep measures

Arg don't you hate when you run out of yarn before you finish a project? I am making a pair of seed rib stitch socks for Roger from Jaggerspun Maine Line (100% wool) in Seude but ran out before I finished the foot. I wanted to pick up the yarn today so that I could finish them this weekend. While I was there I also got a super cute tape measure at Lakeside Fibers. So cute! He can live with my duck-sheep at home.

CHEM 7500L. Basics of Scientific Glass Blowing. 1 hour. 2 hours lab per week. Oasis Title: GLASS BLOWING.

Bending, sealing, blowing, and cutting Pyrex glass will be covered. Students will also be introduced to different types of glass, availability of materials, and safe handling and repair of glassware.
Not offered on a regular basis.

This almost makes flunking NMR worth it. I hope it's fun.

We did a significant section on glasswear customization in advanced thermodynamics. A whole course in it will either be really interesting or get dull fast, depending on your interests.

Sounds like you will enojoy it then. I had 2 beaker mugs I used to love until one of them got dropped. I have seen erlenmeyer flask ones too.

I can certainly sympathize, having just run out of yarn with my Icarus.

Glad you made it to Loop - you never know what you're going to find in the sale bin - I'm sure he was making room on the shelves for more fall yarn. He had Rowan Wool Cotton on sale for $3.50/ball for the longest time, and last year, he was giving away Angora, practically.

Good luck with the socks, and I'm so happy you like the show.
