A Beginning of Sorts

I always feel like I can't live up to the standards I would like to set for the first entry in any sort of journal. What those should be I am not entirely sure. That having been said I am not going to worry further about the issue.

I have spent a lot of this evening studying for an exam tomorrow for a mathematical methods class. The first exam went pretty well, but the professor was apparently disappointed that the average was so high (low 80's) so this exam is supposed to be significantly more difficult. Most of the material seems ok, but Green's functions are still giving me some problems. I can follow when someone else does them, but I am having difficulty doing them on my own.

Not to be overwhelmed by this however, I also spent a good portion of this weekend with friends and family. Friday I went to see "Team America" with motive_nuance and R, yesterday we had dinner at motive_nuance's house, and yesterday I just spent the day at my mother's house with my daughter. Sometimes it is times of immense stress that it is most important to stop and spend time with those you love.
