More Sick Kid Woes

Tab went to the doctor's again today since she was still coughing and occassionally throwing up, despite being on antibiotics not too long ago. She has not one but two ear infections. Now they really hurt and the amoxicillin has not calmed it down yet. From my experience with it I believe it takes a few hours, but does provide relief fairly quickly. If she is not better by then you guys may not see us at Arisia after all...

Classes tomorrow

Classes start tomorrow so I spent a lot of time prepping today. I made an appointment with the health center before they could book up with returning students. I bought one of my two books for the semester (the other was unavailable for obscure reasons). I printed a bunch of literature for me to read on my research area.

And my adviser gave me a bunch of photocopying to do for the course I am TAing. No this wasn't just any photocopying, it was very pretty photocopying. I spent about an hour and a half copying a grand total of 16 pages. First the book needed to be copied optimally to best show all the figures she wanted. Then the edges cut off so the wasn't a dark section beyond the edges of the book. Then the cut pages had to be centered and recopied in a way that best retained the quality of the images. Yup I have some very pretty photocopies, but on the plus side it was very satisfying in a sort of anal-retentive way.
