Sunday, sunday... surprisingly there weren't as few people present as I feared there would be. The panels were a little sparesly attended but not too badly. This was the first day that I let Tab spend time in fast track without me, which meant I could actually attend some of the panels I was interested in. At one of them I even saw
ragingamazon briefly. Sadly I missed the fact that the beading workshop had been moved to saturday, but I did find some really interesting beads over the weekend that I now need to find the perfect project for.
Tab and I did not make it to Sunday Sundae (maybe next year). I wanted to go to the Gripe Session. Thankfully Tab fell asleep within the first few minutes. I was amazed and gratified by how few gripes were actually expressed. Mostly the comments were actually (gasp) constructive or even positive. Due to the snow emergency the hotel had been understaffed, but everyone was still smiling. Additionally the con continued in some capacity for some extra time due to the snow. Arisia kept open the gaming room and the movie rooms (among other things) until 10 am so that snow-bound people would have plenty to do.
Break down was crazy as usual. I told myself that I wasn't going to do break down this year, as I did set up instead. Of course that didn't end up happening. I spent most of the time helping break down fast track though. It really got me thinking about maybe working with them a little bit next year. We will see though; I do really like working with Ops.
Since we had the opportunity we stayed over. We didn't even make it to the Dead Dog Party. I was tired and hungry, so we just ate in our room. The local pizza delivery places were obviously busy and actually stopped accepting orders. Roger braved the weather to walk to
P.F.Chang's to pick up our order. Once we had a nice little "indoor picnic" and went to sleep. Maybe that doesn't sound exciting but it ended up being the perfect way to end the weekend.
