Gillette Sellout

Roger just called me to inform me of the Gillette Sellout. I am in total shock over this. I guess it must make financial sense, but this is so against the spirit of the company. We used to tease and call P&G "the evil empire", but it becomes ever more apparent that maybe they are actually becoming such in a very real way. At what point to monopoly laws start kicking in? True it is not a true monopoly, but there are getting to be very few large companies left. After all Gillette already had Oral-B, Braun, and Duracell, but they were relatively a small fish compared to P&G.

A Small Kindness

Last night on my way home I waited at the bus stop for about half an hour. It was late (around eleven) and very very cold. This is not a complaint that the bus was late though. In fact quite the opposite. One of the other bus drivers took a look at the number of people waiting out for my bus and took pity on us. He announced to our poor huddled group that he would run our route in addition to his regular one. Then he called dispatch to let them know what he was doing. To that nameless bus driver goes out a huge thank you and my wishes for brightest blessings.
