Nov. 14th, 2005 10:02 amSo let me tell you. It was a thoroughly exciting weekend. Well maybe everyone else didn't think it was exciting, but I am well pleased.
Friday was Veteran's day, and as such Tab had it off. We talked about what we were celebrating and why it was such a big deal. When did they stop selling little red poppies on Veteran's day (usually in front of grocery stores)? I remember always buying one as a kid, but I did not see anyone out on friday. A small amount of shopping was done, but mostly we slept in, spent time together and did a little baking.
Saturday we ran errands and cleaned the fridge. Yup cleaned the fridge, it was awesome. I totally dismantled the inside, taking out all of the shelves and removable bits. These were washed, dried and returned. It is so shiny and clean now. You can see reflections of the milk and other perishables.
Sunday we visited a church, then headed down to visit family. We dropped off a pair of baby booties for my nephew. He was just released for the ICU recently and is apparently very tiny. I have not seen him yet though. I also brought a bunch of quart mason jars down to my sister, and we made brownie/gingerbread mix in a jar.
