Weekend in review
Jun. 7th, 2006 09:33 pmWell now that we are halfway to the next weekend, I figured I should probably get around to recapping the last one. Tab was visiting her dad's family and Roger had gone to see his parents, so I unexpectedly had the weekend to myself. This was actually mildly depressing and lonely, thus I called up
thanos73 who came to my rescue and kept me busy and really relaxed.
I got to see more of
cwellan and
ruggrat this weekend than I usually get to in a month, which was fabulous. I wish I could spend more time with them like that more often. I also figured out a riddle and felt moderately clever.
Saturday was the BPL book sale. I spent many hours browsing through the books and walked away with about as much as I could reasonably carry via public transportation. Then I met up with
thanos73 for dinner someplace I had been meaning to try off of Mass Ave. Afterwards we stopped by my house and went to drum and dance. I did dance (poorly perhaps, but I had fun).
Sunday we went to Dim Sum over at the Empire's Garden (aka the Emperor's Garden). Shimp is a sneaky food and resists the idea that I might not want to eat it. Thankfully my anti-shrimp stance is a preference, not an allergy. The food was good as was the company for the most part. Sadly I do not know all the LJ names so I will avoid a who's who. After food (and hunting down the contact info on the person who had broken
thanos73's tail light) we headed over the K&G, whom I met for the first time. (My office mate has since told me how to say G's name in greek, but I already have forgotten it.) It was nice to see
thanos73 so relaxed with old friends.
