I took the silver line for the first time today. I have to say that I was fairly impressed with the experience. It was very clean and much faster than taking the blue line. How to get from the terminal to the silver line stop caused a small amount of difficulty, but I managed. Fortunately since I had my MBTA pass, I didn't have to worry about CharlieTickets or anything. In general though, I would recommend for future airport travel, and would take it rather than a cab or trying to work out a ride.

Also while on the silver line, I saw from the bus a statue that I believe I had seen previously at the Boston Commons. It looks like 6 emaciated native americans on horses, with heads hanging low. Is this a copy or did they move it?

I usually avoid going over to "the rest of campus" as it seems to end up taking huge amounts of time. Todays adventures:

  • health center - requested my medical records, I will have to come back next week to pick them up
  • Eaton - wanted to get password for computer labs (haven't gotten for a long time) but didn't come during official hours, please come back later
  • Dowling - getting charged a fee that I shouldn't be getting until next year, sorry go see Ballou
  • Ballou - you are right, you shouldn't be charged that fee, please have your advisor send confirmation of that status
  • hmmm time to kill before Eaton's hours...
  • Tisch LIbrary - go look up STM studies of my metal/metal oxide system
  • Eaton - finally!
  • Sci Tech - request email to be sent to Ballou
  • finally get to do "real" work
