Roger, Tab and I stopped by [livejournal.com profile] ragingamazon's dinner last night, although we couldn't stay long. I hope that things work out great for her there, but we will miss her. (Even Tab was sad.)

We also got to see [livejournal.com profile] thanos73, who seems to have been hiding. Love ya, buddy! There are too many people on the "never get to see anymore" list, but I am hoping to keep it from getting any bigger. I just need more time...

This year I had the pleasure of having [livejournal.com profile] sweet_fallacy stay with us. Most of the family would be terribly uninterested in anything like Arisia, so it was lovely to have her with us.

I started off con by dragging poor [livejournal.com profile] kracktek to help with load in on Thursday. He is such a good sport. (Hey [livejournal.com profile] kracktek, did you earn enough hours for comp?) Sadly I think I saw more of [livejournal.com profile] cintyber on Thursday than at any other time during con, which was understandable given how busy she was.

This year I took some time off from Ops for the first time ever. It sounds like [livejournal.com profile] kgola and crew had it well in hand though. Instead I spent some time in Registration, which I really liked. Plus as an added bonus I got to sit and catch up with [livejournal.com profile] yummygirl a bit, who by the way looks great and happier than I had seen her in a while.

Nursing with the [livejournal.com profile] naughty_nurses was lots of fun. [livejournal.com profile] buxom_bey, [livejournal.com profile] doeeyedbunny, [livejournal.com profile] gingerkat, and [livejournal.com profile] mizarchivist looked amazing as always. [livejournal.com profile] first_clark was his usual chipper self, and we got an amazing turn out of blood donors. I didn't get to go [livejournal.com profile] first_clark's panel on donating blood, sperm and eggs, but it sounded really interesting. Maybe something similar will happen next year.

I saw [livejournal.com profile] terse_scribe, [livejournal.com profile] dahling, [livejournal.com profile] dalious, [livejournal.com profile] woodwardiocom and [livejournal.com profile] sunspiral in passing, although I didn't get to say hi. I totally missed [livejournal.com profile] missamay, [livejournal.com profile] mynext_boldmove and [livejournal.com profile] thanos73, though [livejournal.com profile] thanos73 says he was there for a bit.

Fortunately I was able to get some social visiting time in with [livejournal.com profile] tweekie, [livejournal.com profile] mindslv, [livejournal.com profile] evila, [livejournal.com profile] bryttan and [livejournal.com profile] motive_nuance in the hallways. [livejournal.com profile] kgola, you can still get the calendars if you weren't able to pick one up during con. I saw [livejournal.com profile] forestjay up in Fasttrack, which sadly has become the only time I see him during the year these days. I also saw [livejournal.com profile] ember_dark briefly in the restaurant with [livejournal.com profile] allenswitch, though I didn't get to talk as long as I would like. (We need to visit you guys!) A fair amount of my chatting time was spent in Staff Den as well, such as with [livejournal.com profile] doobie. I hope that you do the MyChip program again next year. I think you will still have a good response.

I finished my Slytherin sweater on Friday and wore it a lot.

I went to a beading workshop to learn to make beaded cabochons, knit a scarf for Warmer Winters, and want to the belly dancing workshop. Not only that, but I went to a couple of panels. Crazy I know!

And as a completely unexpected turn of events I met [livejournal.com profile] sandhawke, who it turns out has a lot of overlap with people near and dear to me. Well maybe it isn't so surprising given how small and incestuous our communities are. Tab was the same age as his second child, so they got to play a bunch. I was impressed by his oldest who was really self-possessed, and the 2 youngest were just too sweet.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] crazybone and [livejournal.com profile] chaiya for letting Tab and I tag along for dinner. The company and conversation were wonderful as always. I did get to catch up for a few minutes with [livejournal.com profile] mycroft while we were stopping by Dead Dog to say good bye, but I am afraid I was exhausted at that point. I might need the year to recover fully.
