Randy Seidman & Infected Mushroom

Damn, I am super behind again. Several weeks ago now, C took me to see Infected Mushroom for my birthday. Despite them opening the doors nearly an hour late (since the first opening group was really late for sound checks) the evening was a ton of fun. We had gotten there really and had a great spot near the stage.

I was not a huge fan of the opening group's stuff though they were clearly having fun, which helped.

I did really like the 2nd guy in the line-up though. His name is Randy Seidman, and you can check out his stuff on his webpage if you are interested. Mostly he seems to do house with some trance. Apparently he is actually the tour manager for Infected Mushroom as well, so he plays with them a lot. I honestly would go to a club just to see him though.

Infected Mushroom was as expected awesome, though the crowd got really asinine. Fortunately I had C to help carve out some space. One altercation in particularly nearly came to blows. Crazy! We left before their set was quite over due to the late start and the fact that we had taken public transport.

Yay! Lots of fun though. I also rediscovered that I am too out of shape to be dancing 4 hours without hurting the next day, but hey it was awesome to be out doing it.

CSA Week 6

2 pounds new potatoes
2 pounds fava beans
2 bunches broccoli
2 bunches lemon basil (OMG heavenly)
2 bunches kale
2 bunches beets
4 cucumbers
2 heads cabbage
2 bunches carrots
3 pounds squash

cintyber made the most amazing pizza with leftover farm share stuff from last week. (I used this pizza dough recipe.) I may be a bit of a basil addict. Speaking of which, I can't wait to use the lemon-basil. I want to try it in lemonade, and cintyber immediately thought desserts. Yum!
