I have had a really phenomenal last couple of days. Usually the holidays are sort of lonely for me, but this year has been full of light, life and good company.

Thursday I made candy with [livejournal.com profile] chiaya, which was pretty nifty. The batch of peppermint patties ultimately didn't turn out as good as I would have liked, but the hazelnut patties were interesting. Also [livejournal.com profile] hakamadare's hammock is surprisingly comfortable.

I was lucky enough to spend pretty much all of Sunday with [livejournal.com profile] cintyber. (12 hours, is that a record?) We had brunch, went shopping in Harvard square, and then dropped by [livejournal.com profile] chiaya and [livejournal.com profile] hakamadare's house. Uno rocks my socks, and it was awesome that [livejournal.com profile] crazybone was willing to join us. I need to make more time for games.

Yesterday was barflies. It is sometimes funny to look back on where I have come since that January afternoon when [livejournal.com profile] allenswitch called Salvbard and I up to see if we would be willing to come in and help him out for a few hours (which turned to days). By and large though I am grateful to have met the Arisia folk.

Also [livejournal.com profile] paradoox, [livejournal.com profile] crazybone and [livejournal.com profile] chiaya, the original Magical Trevor can be found here.

We miss you

Dearest Em,

Any time your loneliness encroaches, please do come sing with us. Or even just say hi. I've poked the knitters to remind them to schedule with you, too. Looking forward to seeing you soon at Arisia, if nowhere else. Are you totally swamped, or can you/will you be a NN? Cintyber has already apologized for you if not. Enjoy!

Unfortunately the worst times of years are for me are ones in which the choir isn't as active.

Also which knitters are you poking? Aren't you aware that they have pointy sticks? Sounds dangerous.

I am hoping to do some NNing, but it will be a balancing act with who can cover the desk for me.
