Dec. 6th, 2005 11:28 amSo apparently my purpose in life is to educate cashiers about produce. I don't think I buy especially weird things either. (The weird things are generally not sold at mainstream grocery stores. I love Super88 and the like though.) A partial list of things that cashiers have had no idea what they were:
Does anyone else have a list like this? Is this a function of where I live or what I buy?
- Haas avocado
- shitake mushrooms ("Are these mushrooms?")
- brussel sprouts on the stalk
- leek
- pomegranate
- shallots

PS Is there anything "ethnic" that you need shipped to you?
