I started on the huge bag of roving the wheel seller included. Baaaa, sheepy! There is much more lanolin than in the wool I was spinning before, which actually made it significantly harder to spin at times. I got a lot more of a "thick and thin" consistency due to the way it would draft, even when I tried pre-drafting first. I am much less happy with how it spun up than the other stuff. We will see how it looks after I ply it. On the plus side though, my hands are so soft. Who needs stinking hand lotion?

Do you know I was just thinking the other day that I wished you were closer. I was thinking it would be fun to get a bunch of people around to just play with other types of craftyness that we normally don't do.

Oh and I am planning to go down to Virginia with my dad's family this summer. Do you think it might be possible to meet up somewhere? Since we would be so close it would be no worries to travel a little further.

I think I could be more crafty if I had more time... maybe i'll have more time when I start my new job, and once the wedding is over.

Most of my crafty time is stolen during time I am forced to be "idle" such as riding the bus to work. I find it hard to make other time for it too, but at least that time adds up after a while.

Most of my free time is on the weekends, and the weekends are the only time I get to see Todd :(

I am going to arrange the guest bedroom into a craft room for me, using a bookcase for my craft boxes, and hopefully setting up my sewing machine in there too. (not that I know how to use it yet *blush*)

I know you do cross stitch (and needlepoint in general?). What other crafty type things do you do?

I do soap making and candy making. Just cross stich, and I was trying to teach myself how to knit.

Actually one of my wedding favors is that I'm going to make chocolate castles.

I have discovered that Roger really likes the smell. This disturbs me greatly.
