End of the Growing Season
Nov. 1st, 2006 11:28 amSince last week was the last farmer's market in town, I stopped by the farmer's market to get a few things I knew the farm wasn't growing this year, namely tomatillos and brussel sprouts. I am always so amused by buying brussel sprouts by the stalk.
Last week was also the last CSA pick-up. I am really sad to see the season end. I will miss everyone a lot as the days get darker. We are still furiously canning stuff to preserve the last of this season's harvest. This last pick up was a little light, but that was our fault for picking it up somewhat later in the day.
