Soap Making

I have been thinking of learning to make soap recently. In the end I think it will need to wait until I have some more time to think about it. Many of the articles I found were through our library, but I also found this fairly interesting link.

I have been thinking a lot about the fact that homesteader-types really interest me. I like the idea of being able to be more self sufficient. Even more than that though I like not being forced into the same bad consumer choices over and over again. Yes there are some good options out there, but how much better to do it myself and know exactly what is there. So from this has lead my interest in canning, sewing, knitting, spinning, and now soap making.

Roger picked up a e-machine tower a little while ago from the curb on trash night. We needed a box to be given to a family member who would like to learn some basic computer stuff, so we figured we would check to see if the hardware was still good. It ran a little slow so for giggles we downloaded and ran Ad-Aware. Results?
