Did you all miss me? Life is so crazy and I have been miserably sick. I have great hopes for this week though, because I need something concrete to offer workwise.

I have been super tired and miserable. I am unsure if it a combination of allergies and a cold, or if this is just the worst season for mold in a long time. The mold counts have been high for the last 50 days. I think it is just severely depressing my immune system. I have never really taken allergy meds on a regular basis, but I am starting to consider it.

This week's attempt at dim sum went significantly better than last week's attempt. I actually go to eat! I love sticky rice so much. I seriously need to learn to make it, except that knowing what is in it may distress me severely. It was great to spend time with [livejournal.com profile] thanos73, [livejournal.com profile] cwellan, [livejournal.com profile] ruggrat, and [livejournal.com profile] mrpet, all of whom I never get to see enough.

Then afterwards, Roger, [livejournal.com profile] thanos73, [livejournal.com profile] cwellan, and [livejournal.com profile] ruggrat hit the Super88 over by BU. I am incredibly jealous at [livejournal.com profile] ruggrat's new lunch box, but I just do not need another one. Sesame paste bao are once again mine though, and I am quite pleased. They are very nearly a food group. So our house has all sorts of yummy things. I am particularly intrigued by the dragon fruit, which we have not had a chance to try yet.

Last Week

Last week was sort of uneventful for the most part, as I had been taking it a bit slow. I did mention to get 2 things done in particular though.

I stopped by Tab's school to get some contact information and got grabbed to help out with their school bank. The kids can deposit or withdraw money once a week, and it was the sign up date for the first graders, so they needed some extra help. Kuddos to the PTO people. It was insane. Over $2500 was deposited alone, and all of the numbers had to be checked and double checked before it was over. I can't imagine doing it on a regular basis.

Another highlight was that I dragged myself to Choir rehearsal for the first time in ages. I had forgotten how good I feel after I go. In addition to the normal pieces that we are doing for services, we are working on several pieces from Mozart's Requiem. I love these pieces so much! Between the instrumental and vocal parts, the music is sounded phenomenal.
